There are many triage systems that are available, which all have different pros and cons.

The South African Triage Scale (SATS) was published in 2012.

It is a triage scale that uses the Early Warning Score principle of combining several items to produce a composite score.

Used mainly in the USA, the Emergency Severity Index is a five point system to allocate Triage Category.
